Part Time Accounts Assistant

We are delighted to be working for a small to medium sized business in the Filey area who are looking for a Part TimeAccounts Assistant to join their Finance team due to retirement.

What the Accounts Assistant job involves

• Creating and sending out complex sale invoices on a monthly basis for ongoing projects
• Monitoring budgets and spend for each project.
• Building relationships with clients to obtain authorisation for invoices and progress on projects.
• Collate contractor timesheets and check hours worked against project allowances.
• Check budgets, costs, contractor allowances and calculate what is chargeable to the client, and what is payable back to the contractor.
• Creating reports for head office each week.

Skills required

• A strong attention to detail
• Highly organised
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Fully computer literate with experience of using an accounting software such as Sage, Xero or QuickBooks.

Other information

• Circa 3 days a week, this may increase at the beginning of the month. You are then able to take time back at the back end of the month, or take the overtime pay.
• 25 days holiday (pro rata) + bank holidays.
