Part-time Boutique Retail Sales Assistant - The Crystal Shop St Andrews
Prestigious retail and lifestyle brand in desirable location of St Andrews Fife. This is your chance to be part of something a bit different. You’ll be working closely with the most important part of our business – our customers. Giving them fantastic customer care and making them feel good. 

You’ll really get to know our customers and what they’re looking for; it’s everything from helping them find the perfect crystal working deliveries and making everything look beautiful, to building our brand and sharing our unique products.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Managing Director and Company Buyer with the achievement of retail store targets by driving sales
- Supporting your Store they may open and close the store and are responsible at that point for ensuring that the store trades safely and legally
- Delivering sales through friendly and efficient customer service
- Ensuring our customers have a fun and enjoyable shopping experience
- Demonstrating products
- Assisting customers with their queries using your product knowledge
- Assisting with processing store deliveries, visual merchandising, housekeeping and promotions
- Product expertise (you will receive full training)
- Ensuring the store looks presentable.
- Social Media marketing
- Listing of products and shipping of online orders.
HOURS
20-35 hours plus Holiday cover.
Will include some weekends (one weekend off a month) and 12-5 Sundays.
Hours 10am to 5.30pm. (Sunday 12-5)
Holidays meet national minimum and must not be taken all in peak times.
ESSENTIAL: Retail experience.
ESSENTIAL: Confident talking to customers. Outgoing Manner.
The personal skills that are required for the job:
Having a friendly and engaging personality. You will be required to talk to each customer and engage with them on their needs, make small talk and make customers feel welcome within the shop environment. This is an essential skill.
Comfortable working with members of the public.
Should have a confident manner.
Assistants should be physically fit as they will be on their feet for most of the day and may be required to lift large amounts of stock.
*Previous knowledge of crystals is not required.
FULL TRAINING on products will be given. If you have no knowledge of crystals before please do not worry. Comprehensive training will be given and we regard RETAIL experience and friendly demeanour highly important. Most of our previous staff did not know about crystals before joining us.
