Part Time Delivery Driver (Seasonal)

Bluebell Dairy is a luxury artisan Ice Cream Producer, distributing our delicious ice creams to many of our Wholesale Customers throughout the region

A vacancy has arisen for a Part Time Seasonal (Temporary ) Delivery Driver

A good work ethic, cheerful disposition, excellent customer care skills and good attention to detail whilst working at speed are all necessary to ensure that our customers are given high quality service. Experience driving vans is preferred but not essential.

We hope that the successful candidate possessing these skills will be as passionate about looking after our customers and growing our business in both the short and long term as we are.

Duties:

*Picking & ensuring traceability of our products, maintaining a high degree of accuracy,

*Ensuring food safety standards are met during transit and delivery (Food Safety training will be given)

*Maintaining excellent customer care and a good relationship with our customers

*Multi-drop deliveries - driving round pre- set delivery routes ensuring that all orders are delivered in a timely fashion.

*Ensuring deliveries are correctly supplied and signed for

*Ensuring your van is kept clean and tidy

*Daily vehicle checks

*Re Fuelling as required

*Small amount of cash collection

*Completing daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance

*Providing packing assistance to the Ice Cream production team

The Successful candidate will:

· Be friendly and approachable

· Be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.

· Possess a good track record of reliability.

. Have a very good eye for detail whilst working at speed

· Hold a full, valid Driving Licence which has been held for at least two years or more. Our vans are 3.5 ton in weight

· Be in suitable health, due to the physical nature of the job as heavy lifting is involved.

· Have reached their 25th Birthday to ensure that insurance requirements are complied with.

· Preferably possess a Trailer towing Licence (B&E) although not essential as the successful candidate will be required to undertake a trailer course and subsequent test.

Hours

Flexibility essential. This is a seasonal, temporary role, with hours available from now until the end of September. For the right candidate there may the possibility of irregular, more permanent work after that

Must be able to work weekends.

Days of work vary , usually two shift types:

7am-5.30pm

Pay: £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
