Part Time Dental Nurse

We are an award-winning, private, Referral Practice in the town of Havant in Hampshire. We pride ourselves in providing high quality, advanced dentistry in a relaxed and caring way.

Salary: Dependant on experience
Hours:
3 days/21 hours per week:
Weds: (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
Thurs:
Fri: (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
Location:
Emsworth Specialist Practice, Havant.
Key responsibilities & duties:
Nursing with the Specialist Periodontist on Wednesdays & Fridays.
General dental nursing duties.
Helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment
Set-up and prepare the surgery for the type of patient and treatment planned
Clean and sterilise all equipment and working surfaces to the required standards at the end of each session
Escort patients from the waiting room to the surgery, confirming the medical history and bringing any changes to the attention of the dentist
Provide clinical assistance under the supervision of the dentist
Continually evaluate the needs of patients and specialist and deal with them promptly and efficiently
Assist in the completion of patient records
Monitor and maintain stocks as necessary and liaise with the stock nurse regarding any shortages of materials
Follow all practice policies and procedures and patient confidentiality
Establish and maintain productive working relationships with the dental team
Comply with all GDC and CQC requirements

GDC Registered
Dental nursing Diploma or equivalent
( Essential, we do not provide nurse training)
Work experience and skills:
1-year Dental Nursing
Experience using SOE
