Part-Time Finance And Payroll Assistant

Robert Half Finance & Accounting are supporting our Client bases in North-Somerset in finding a part-time Finance & Payroll Assistant. This is a permanent role of 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. For the right person, our client is offering:

Up to £30,000 FTE plus hybrid working

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversee purchase ledger, ensuring invoices are processed in a timely manner in accordance to weekly payment runs
• Accounts for and process expenses on weekly basis
• Daily bank reconciliations, including foreign currency accounts
• Ad hoc payments to suppliers as and when requested
• Monitor overdue customer payments, following up with customers as soon as payment is outstanding beyond payment dates
• Work to cash collection targets as and when implemented
• Entry of all transactions into the accounting software
• Input and maintain fixed assets on the accounting software
• Monthly payroll preparation, submitting timesheets accordingly and arranging BACs transfers
• Completion of monthly PAYE/NI returns returns to HMRC and organise BACS
• Submission of BACs transfers to the pension provider
• Respond to/resolve finance related queries in a timely manner from internal and external POC
• Other d hoc tasks and duties as required by the finance team

You:

• Working knowledge of payroll including PAYE, BACs and timesheets
• General bookkeeping knowledge, including purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control
• Positive attitude, able to work on own and prioritise as well as part of a team
• Excellent communicator
