Part-Time HR MANAGER
What a wonderful opportunity for a proactive Part-time HR Manager who’s looking to work with a values driven, partnership organisation based in Frome within the Healthcare sector. Reporting to a fast paced, pragmatic Partner/Practice Manager this role will encompass all aspects of both operational and strategic HR. You will have the support of an HR Assistant with regards to HR Administration.
We are looking for a part-time HR Manager who is able to work anything from 22.5 hours to 30 hours per week over 3-4 days. Initially we are look for someone who can work more in the office than remotely in order to build strong relationships. As those relationships strengthen over time there will be the opportunity for the role to be more hybrid with fewer days in the office and more remote.
Supporting a diverse workforce with c. 150 employee we are looking for an HR Manager with a mix of operational HR and adding value strategic HR projects experience. This role will suit a fast paced, solutions oriented individual who can communicate effectively at all levels.
As the most senior person in HR in the company you will need to not only put together a value adding people strategy and drive those projects forward, but also to be happy to roll up your sleeves to get on with the operational day to day HR duties.
This role is hugely varied and will encompass all aspects of HR from recruitment, to employee relations, to performance and development to ED&I and policy development. The role will have a development rather than a grievance & disciplinary focus, although a strong understanding of employment law will be necessary for any day to day ER issues.
Person Specification
- Preferably degree educated and CIPD qualified or equivalent.
- As the most senior person in HR, you would need to have significant experience in all aspects of HR including: employee relations, employment law, recruitment, coaching & L&D.
- Experience of managing, gaining engagement to and driving forward HR projects
- Able to flex your approach to engage different levels within the organisation.
- High emotional Intelligence, able to sow seeds with high intellect, highly educated partners and engage them into new ways of working in a collaborative and diplomatic way.
- Proactive with excellent problem solving skills and good IT skills.
- Ability to plan and organise workloads effectively.
- Credible with the gravitas to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Good judgement; Confident, persuasive, approachable and dependable with a good sense of humour.
- Able to multi-task and juggle workloads with differing priorities.
