Location: Andover, Hampshire (100% onsite)
Salary: £16,000 - £25,600 per annum
Key responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day Health & Safety support for the Company through means such as; risk assessments, procedures, communications, safety inspections, induction training, safety observations, emergency procedures, accident investigations, and ensuring environmental compliance and sustainability.
- Actively advise, lead, and execute solutions or recommendations for improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the business
- Ensure that Company HSE legislative compliance is maintained across all sites.
- Identify and report H&S & Environmental Measures and KPI’s across the business
- Establish, develop, and maintain a formalised Environmental and Health and Safety Management system which addresses requirements deemed necessary for the organisation, inclusive of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Establish, implement, and maintain an Environmental, Health and Safety Steering Committee and to communicate the findings to the senior management and all staff.
- Establish, develop and maintain a full Risk Assessment and COSHH assessment programme that encompasses all current production practices and maintenance activities.
- Lead, advise, and train staff on Health & Safety practices, including refresher and induction training.
- Conduct HSE audits, inclusive of system audits, internal and external, and initiate improvement actions as identified and deemed necessary
- Ensure all potential risks to employees, agents and suppliers of products and services are identified and reported
- Investigate and record accidents in the workplace.
- Carry out regular site inspections, ensuring policies and procedures are being properly implement.
- Holds a NEBOSH International Certificate for Health & Safety Management or equivalent.
- Demonstratable experience in environmental compliance and sustainability
- Demonstrable experience from within as manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating a strong understanding of HSE legislation and best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, data handling and analysis.
- Key skills will include influencing people, communication, problem solving, pragmatism and flexibility.
