Part Time - It Officer

Part-Time IT Officer | 20-25 hours | 35-39K Pro-rata | Cambridge

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a diligent and proactive Part-Time IT Officer to join the team of one of our esteemed clients in the manufacturing industry. The IT Officer will be responsible for providing technical support, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of the company's technology infrastructure. Having strong security knowledge will be very important for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and network devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and provide timely resolutions.
• Manage user accounts and permissions in collaboration with the IT team.
• Monitor system performance and conduct routine maintenance tasks. Withing Office 365 & MAC.
• Assist in the implementation of IT projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an IT Officer, IT Technician, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Security
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with cloud computing and virtualization technologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are a plus.
• Previous experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred but not required.

Schedule: Part-Time (Flexible hours, approximately 20-25 hours per week)
