We are looking for a part-time, nursery-based Kitchen Assistant to join the Positive Step Nursery which is part of East Durham College, situated in Peterlee. This role is for 20 hours per week.
The main duties of the role are to set up and serve children’s meals in the nursery, ensuring that all meals are served within the guidelines for good food hygiene and making sure that all areas are cleaned and all linen is laundered daily to ensure a professional and efficient meal service.
We are seeking a well-organised and self-motivated Kitchen Assistant to join the nursery’s fantastic team.

Essential Requirement:
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent or willing to work towards within 12 months
