Salary The role of the passenger assistant is a very crucial part in providing a safe atmosphere for the children and the crew that travel in the vehicles. You will be required to work part time Monday to Friday mornings and afternoon during term time only. Most routes start around 07:00am for morning journeys, however may be slightly earlier and the hours will be from 12-25 hrs/week.
- You should have a friendly and positive attitude and enjoy working with children, be fit and relaible.
- You must have sufficient command of spoken and written english
- To ensure the safety of clients and to actively ensure that all safeguarding procedures are followed and concerns are raised
- Occasionally clients may exhibit difficult behaviour and the passenger assistant must be able to sensitively manage these behaviours
- Experience of working with clients with complex needs is an advantage
- Handling difficult situations where clients with complex behavioural issues are ‘triggered’ and their behaviour needs to be managed
- DBS criminal record check as you will be working with children, young persons and vulnerable adults.
- Capable of lifting and handling in accordance with Health and Safety regulations
