Job description

We are looking for an Purchase Ledger Clerk to join and support our client on a temporary basis, starting as soon as possible until May 2024. The role is working 25 hours per week in the office. Plenty of parking onsite.

The role of the Purchase Ledger Clerk involves providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the organisation. The main responsibility of this role is to complete payments and control expenses by receiving payments, plus processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.

The key duties within this role include:

  • Communicating with suppliers to process invoicing or payment queries.
  • Attaching the correct documentation to invoices and reconciling purchase orders to invoices received.
  • Posting invoices and credit notes and ensuring they're recorded correctly.
  • Preparing monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Dealing with external and internal queries by phone and email.
  • Ensuring that all accounts payable activities comply with relevant financial policies and procedures.
