Part Time, Permanent
A new vacancy has arisen for a Purchasing Administrator to assist the purchasing department with the review and purchase of stock to meet business requirements and liaise with suppliers, ensuring on time deliveries. We are looking for someone with admin skills and experience. Purchasing experience is desirable but not essential for the role as full training will be given.
This role based at our Head Office in Rendlesham, Suffolk.
Salary
£17,000 to £23,000 (Full Time Equivalent) – pro rata per annum.
Hours
Between 16 and 24 hours per week, times agreed to suit the successful applicant (but must be within our opening hours)

Main Responsibilities:
• Review purchase orders for conformance to company policy.
• Place purchase orders and scheduled orders with our suppliers.
• Support On-Time-Delivery through expediting activities within our supply chain.
• Review data and reports to identify purchasing risks in the procurement process.
• Review supplier data to ensure that purchased goods and services meet our quality standards.
• Ensure good housekeeping is maintained in work areas and actively support any new housekeeping initiatives.
• To carry out all tasks in accordance with Rockford Components Ltd Quality and Health and Safety Procedures.
• To interact and communicate with all other staff members to ensure a professional and consistent environment is developed, maintained and enhanced.
• Lead by example in terms of time keeping, attendance, quality, productivity, conduct etc.
• Help support changes to standards, policies, processes and products and positively adapt to change.
• Provide appropriate assistance and remain accountable for capability and conduct.
Key Skills required:
• Admin experience - essential
• Working knowledge and experience in purchasing and shipping processes - desirable
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel - essential
• Good team player with integrity, interpersonal, organisation and good time management skills - essential
• Work well under pressure and able to work independently - essential
• Effective communication both written and verbal - essential
• Ability to meet internal and external targets - essential
• Accuracy and attention to detail - essential
