An exciting vacancy has arisen due to the retirement of one of our staff members for a Part Time Sales assistant to join our friendly jewellers. They will work a minimum of 2 days per week, and must be able to work Saturdays. We are a traditional family jewellers that has been running for over 25 years.
The main duties of this position will include, but is not limited to:
- Sales of jewellery, watches, giftware & accessories
- Booking in & processing jewellery & watch repairs
- Buying and selling of pre-owned and scrap jewellery & metal items
- Changing watch batteries & straps
- Minor jewellery repairs
- Assisting in keeping a clean, tidy and presentable working environment
- Maintaining a professional environment
- Responding to customer queries & requests
Essential criteria for applicants:
- Able to work Saturdays
- Have a positive work attitude
- Previous experience of cash handling and credit card transactions
- Excellent customer service skills
- Be well presented and self motivated
- Have the ability to flex up to work more hours in busy periods and to cover annual leave
