ABOUT US
IDEA Design Hub CIC (IDEA) is a SOCIAL ENTERPRISE in the UK, which was originally founded in Hong Kong in 2009. Recently, IDEA has been expanding the design team to London since 2021.
OUR VISION
IDEA has a vision for promoting DESIGN THINKING, CREATIVITY and EMPATHY through architectural design and experiential learning with children.
OUR PROGRAMMES
Since 2009, IDEA has been running a variety of creative hands-on learning programmes in different parts of the world, including the UK, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Nepal and India. In 2015, IDEA was selected by UN Volunteers as one of the five hundred stories, recognising our achievement in volunteering to achieve Millennium Development Goals. Our programmes include:

Part-time Design and Art Teacher
Duties:
- Develop and implement art and design curriculum for students of various ages and skill levels
- Teach fundamental art and basic architectural techniques, including drawing, painting, sketching and building 1:1 models
- Provide guidance and feedback to students to help them improve their artistic skills
- Plan and organize art projects and activities that engage and inspire students
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate architecture, art and global citizenship into interdisciplinary lessons
- Display student artwork in the school or community to showcase their talent
Skills:
- Strong artistic abilities and knowledge of various art forms and techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively teach and explain art concepts to students
- Patience and understanding to work with students of different learning styles and abilities
- Child-friendly approach in teaching
- Creativity to develop engaging lesson plans and projects
- Organisational skills to manage art supplies, materials, and student artwork
With good tractions, IDEA is expanding the team and plans to open our design centre at the Hammersmith and Fulham in 2-3 months. We are looking for passionate Art and Design Teachers who can inspire students through the world of art and architecture.

Job Type: Part-time
Salary: £15.00-£35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 10 per week
