Role and responsibilities
- Assisting with the onboarding of partners and updating the firm’s database following the onboarding
- Supporting the partner payroll team in setting up the payroll processes for the newly merged firm
- Working with the Partnership Capital team on Capital & Capital loan processes
- Assisting with the opening TB for the new merged firm – including journal postings
- Working with team to deliver monthly management accounts data in a timely manner
- Assisting the UK tax team with UK tax calculations and reporting, as and when required
- Providing general support on the financial year-end processes which will run concurrently with the merger
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written;
- Ability to manage and develop junior members of the team to provide high level of ‘client service’ in a global environment;
- Enthusiastic, dynamic, pro-active, ambitious, commitment to "getting the job done";
- Ability to assimilate large amounts of information and a strong eye for detail;
- Able to work effectively using own initiative and as part of a team;
- Strong numeracy and IT skills, including knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word and the ability to adapt to using unfamiliar software packages. Particular emphasis is placed on experience of Excel;
- Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise, manage processes, critically review and evaluate financial information; and
- Previous experience within a professional services function (desirable).
- Ideally a qualified accountant with several years relevant experience in this niche area and proven experience in training and developing staff.
