Role Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Partnerships Marketing Manager to join our family of talented people in the Pet Partnerships Team.

 

The Partnerships Marketing Manager has the opportunity to make a real impact on this evolving part of the Petplan business with responsibility for Petplan’s channel marketing activity to engage vet, breeder and charity audiences as well as devising and implementing individual key partner marketing programmes.

Your focus:

  • Deliver target number of new business lead volumes across all channels – vet and chip introductions, breeder and charity free cover

  • Work with Partnerships Manager and Account Managers to deliver individual partner sales targets through targeting of their customers using partners new and existing customer touchpoints.

  • Work alongside other funnel KPI owners to deliver individual partner and channel sales targets, and have an end to end view of partner’s individual funnel performance and single activity plan per partner / channel.

  • Work with the wider Partnerships Management Team to shape strategic direction for Petplan’s Partner Channels and business as a whole.

  • Provide regular reporting, feedback and market intelligence as required within agreed guidelines and format. To provide market and competitor information as and when required.

  • Manage the development and execution of the vet, charity and breeder charity channel evolution strategies.

  • Oversee scalable channel contact programmes which drive loyalty and support our partners’ position to promote Petplan through partner contact and training.

B2B Marketing:

  • Oversee the management and implementation of B2B marketing campaigns for the vet, breeder and charity channels including reward, incentive and engagement. Ensure the team considers the full marketing mix and utilises the most effective promotional tactics including: Digital, social, PR, events, and direct.

  • Responsibility for the provision of traditional and digital sales support tools used by the Field Sales team and online including training and pitch documents.

  • Ownership of partner/B2B websites – petplanvet.co.uk, petplanbreeder.co.uk and petplancharity.co.uk as well as partners journeys and digital communications co-ordinated through Marketo.

  • Oversee the rollout of the overarching marketing strategy at events, as well as supporting the crafting of event specific messaging, objectives and branding.

  • Support the evolution of Petplan’s contact strategy to embrace a more digital and hybrid approach to local level relationship management and partner engagement.

Brand & Proposition Delivery – Accountable to Head of Brand

  • Accountable to Head of Brand and Performance Marketing for the purpose of keeping Petplan front of mind among partners to drive brand perception and confidence in Petplan as preferred insurance partner.

  • Delivery of brand message through large industry trade shows and hospitality events.

  • Deliver Petplan product and proposition updates to partner audiences.

  • Take ownership for Press, PR, social media within the channels ensuring alignment to Petplan’s primary press, PR and social media strategy and accounts.

Customer Journey

  • Ownership of the B2C materials within vet clinics, charities and breeder that support Petplan’s customer acquisition journey.

  • Ownership of Introduction and covernote issuing processes and supporting communication materials delivered by the partner to the customer, ensuring all customer communications delivered by Petplan or the partner are in line with regulatory status of the partner.

  • Ensure 100% compliance to business standards and regulatory requirements across all communications.

Key Partner Marketing :

  • Oversee the planning, management and delivery of all key partner marketing campaigns and communications in line with partner and business requirements, to support delivery of partner-specific sales targets, on time and within budget, and ensuring all collateral follows strict sign-off processes

  • Support team in identifying appropriate marketing touchpoints within partner’s customer journey to embed and promote Petplan in order to drive customer acquisition.

  • Support engagement of partner to support Petplan in achieving its new business targets and delivering a Petplan brand presence in partner collateral.

  • Prioritise activity and that is most likely to contribute greatest outcomes towards partners’ and Petplan’s overall sales targets, and ensure resource and budget is deployed appropriately and effectively.

Partnership and Relationship Management

  • Create network of senior marketing contacts within partner businesses and maintain positive relationships.

  • Oversee the development of marketing relationships from with the team to partners.

  • Attend partner Quarterly Business Review meetings and Senior stakeholder meetings with partners as necessary.

  • Play a leading role in securing new partnerships and tenders by devising and proposing core proposition and distribution models with potential and renewing partners.

  • Oversee the creation of pitch and tender materials, to ensure the successful acquisition of new partners and retention of current partners as necessary.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key channel associations in order that these associations are able to amplify our brand and selected channel messages as necessary.

Team leadership and professional development:

  • Continue to learn, develop and embed new marketing skills and practices to improve and optimise your and your team’s performance and ensure achievement of Petplan’s business targets.

  • Responsible for the line management of Partnerships Marketing Team (currently 9 FTE) as well as potential graduate rotations.

  • Deputise for Head of Partnerships as required

  • Support other parts of the Partnerships / Pet Trading teams as required.

About You

To be successful for the role you’ll be enthusiastic and passionate about pets and petcare, keeping up to date with what is happening in the pet welfare and veterinary industries. Previous experience working within a Financial Services or pet-related industries is preferred, but not essential.

 

You will be passionate about marketing and creating compelling campaigns with experience successfully delivering collaborative partner marketing and engagement campaigns, preferably with B2B and B2C experience.

 

You will enjoy engaging with and influencing and have partner-facing experience and confidence when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.

 

You will have experience of leadership and management of people with the willingness to lead, motivate and inspire others to achieve their full potential.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree educated to 2:1 or equivalent/strong record of academic success.

The role will be based at Allianz Ditton Park, Riding Court Road, Datchet SL3 9LL. 

 

Our office with flex model means that you will have the opportunity to work from home as well as the office. As a hybrid worker you will be in the office between 2 and 16 days per month depending on individual and business need. This will be discussed at interview stage.
