Parts Advisor

My client in Hounslow, is seeking an experienced HGV Parts Advisor to join their team. The ideal candidate will live locally to Hounslow & have experience as a HGV Parts Advisor and excellent customer service skills.

As a HGV Part Advisor in Hounslow, this role involves working with the service department, managing inventory, and ensuring the timely procurement of necessary parts.

Duties:

• Identify and source HGV parts for customer orders and workshop requirements.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and conduct regular inventory checks.
• Process parts orders efficiently and ensure timely delivery to customers and technicians.
• Manage returns and warranty claims effectively.
• Provide expert advice to customers regarding HGV parts.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Maintain accurate records of parts transactions and stock movements.
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Utilise company systems for order processing, inventory management, and reporting.
• Work closely with the service department to ensure parts availability for scheduled and urgent repairs.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members as needed.
• Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Engage in manufacturer training programs to stay updated on new products and technologies
• Continuously enhance product knowledge and technical skills.

Experience essential for this role:

• Proven experience as an HGV Parts Advisor or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of HGV parts and components.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication
• Proficiency in using parts management systems and MS Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driving license preferred.
