Compensation Data
- Starting @ $85,000/year
- Eligible for annual bonus
Purpose of the position
Based in Ottawa, Kansas USA, this position will focus on providing technical data to the public and internal stakeholders. They will also be responsible for research, design, and implementation of ideas to enhance customer satisfaction and company profitability.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Provide Spare Part technical support and product knowledge to Kalmar front line parts and service teams, dealers and customers
- Work Collaboratively with Regional Parts Sales Managers and dealers to manage development within designated region.
- Collaborate in new product development projects, engineering change discussion
- Participate in sourcing and logistics discussion
- Be a liaison between production engineering and sourcing and the spare parts department
- Daily interaction with dealers and field staff to answer inquiries regarding parts technical identification, availability within global system, order status, etc.
- Entering special orders and internal ordering.
- Liaison in researching part pricing and competitiveness
- Ensure customer service and satisfaction.
What you’ll need to succeed
Education:
- Minimum of Associates degree, bachelor degree preferred
Experience:
- Prior industrial equipment/automotive retail Parts Sales/customer service experience
- Related experiences in Sourcing, engineering or other related fields is preferred
Competencies:
- Good time management skills plus organization and prioritization abilities
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical aptitude
- Ability to interpret CAD drawings and technical Bill of Material documents
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Solid interpersonal, communications and listening skill
- Positive attitude
