We are looking to appoint three Pastoral Services Managers and Deputy Safeguarding Leads based at each of our three main campuse; James Watt College, Matthew Boulton College, Sutton Coldfield College.
The focus of this role is to manage a team of Performance Coaches/Counsellors within one of our BMet colleges alongside a specified cross college lead role for a specified area of Pastoral Services.
You'll be providing students with pastoral support services on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, proactively addressing instances of academic performance, low or non-attendance of vulnerable learners to improve engagement with education.
You'll also be managing a counselling service which meet the needs of students at the point of crisis or planned interventions through the Counselling framework approach.
The role includes a focus on Safeguarding, the post holder will be a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and act as the main first point of contact for Safeguarding concerns raised by staff, visitors, parents/carers.
