About the role

Location: THE PIG at Combe, Gittisham , Gittisham, Honiton

Hours: Full Time, £33,500 PA Plus Service Charge

Location: THE PIG at Combe, EX14 3AD

Salary: £33,500 per annum plus service charge. In the busy months our kitchen team have earnt up to £400 in service charge per month

Hours: 48 hours a week

A Pastry Sous chef role at THE PIG is like no other. We use local suppliers within a 25-mile radius, our own homegrown kitchen garden produce and a bit of love to create our menus, which change all the time.

Our pastry chefs have regular conversations with the gardeners, local farmers, and dairies about what is available and what is in season.

THE PIG kitchens are fast paced and energetic, which is what we look for in an individual. Come with enthusiasm, your knives and a bucketful of passion and we can help you develop the rest.

As a PIG Pastry Sous Chef you will oversee and manage the pastry section. You will be responsible for the junior staff on the section, so good people management skills are needed. We want our Pastry Chefs to be as enthusiastic about modern British food and classic desserts as we are.

Can you remember who inspired you to be a chef, can you do this for someone else and share your knowledge with the junior chefs?

We run an award-winning apprenticeship programme, as a Pastry Sous you will take an active role in leading, teaching and inspiring the apprentices.
