The School of Engineering & Physical Sciences has an international research reputation and close connection with the professional and industrial world of science, engineering, and technology.  Job Summary The Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Coordinator will lead the development and delivery of the Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement strategy focused on health inequalities in the Tayside Area. Detailed Description The post holder will work with patients, the public, lay leads, PPIE colleagues with the University of Dundee as well as wider colleagues and stakeholders in the health and care sectors to ensure Patient and Public Involvement is embedded in the work of PBIAA project.  The successful candidate will be proactive, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and experience of PPIE in healthcare research. Experience of developing productive working relationships across a range of contexts (e.g. NHS, industry, academia, third sector) to successfully deliver projects will be an advantage. Key duties and responsibilities The post holder is required to: Lead on implementing and sustaining a detailed PPIE delivery plan for the PBIAA, in conjunction with the PE Lead and the Principal Investigators of the PBIAA to align with the communications, engagement and involvement strategy for the PBIAA.   Develop and sustain a group of Patient and Public partners and collaborators, working at different levels and at different stages of the PBIAA project evolution. Document progress and evaluating PPIE across the work packages. Support, train and develop colleagues where required, and take on a co-ordination role of health and care research PPIE activities locally.   Provide advice and training to researchers and other stakeholders involved in the PBIAA related work to ensure that meaningful and effective PPI is central to all activities. Essential Criteria  Applicants must have: A degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience in a health or social care setting  Hands-on experience in public and patient involvement in the UK.
