SalaryStreamline Recruitment are currently recruiting Patient Transfer Drivers for our client within the NHS Trust, please find below an overview of the role:
Training will be in Ashford, Kent or Ebbsfleet Kent on the following days, you are required to attend the duration of each block:
- 5th Feb to 22nd Feb location - Ashford
- 19th Feb to 7th Mar location - Ebbsfleet
- 28th Feb to 18th Mar location - Ashford
- 18th Mar to 8th Apr location - Ebbsfleet
- 25th Mar to 15th Apr location - Ashford
The role:
- This role will working on a Rota basis, as discussed with your shift manager. Shifts will be sent weekly by us, the agency.
- Shift : 1200pm start to 2200pm finish (Roughly a 10 hour day)
- Driving an ambulance sized vehicle, in a 2 person crew.
- Patients will have been tested ‘COVID Positive’ within the last 72hrs.
- Collecting patients from their home, taking them to their appointment then home again. (All patients will live fairly locally to the hospital)
- Full training (paid) and full PPE/Uniform will be provided.
Pay Rate:
PAYE or UMBRELLA Company accepted
PAYE- £11.95 (+Holiday allowance)
UMB- £15.24
Candidate requirements:
- Due to the condition of the patients all candidates will need to have been fully COVID vaccinated and not fall into the vulnerable group as outlined by the NHS guidelines (ie no underlying health issues), family members will need to also be considered prior to applying for this role.
- Full driving licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points AND no major endorsements
- Ideally have an Enhanced DBS certificate dated within the last 3 years.
- Previous experience in the Patient Transfer industry will be an advantage.
- Be of a polite & kind nature due to the vulnerability of the patients that you will be moving.
- Have a reasonable level of physical fitness as you may need to move patients in wheelchairs.
