Payroll Administrator

Simple Recruitment is delighted to be working with this client, based in Wells, who are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis.

What will you be doing?

Offering accountancy services to a wide portfolio of businesses, our client has experienced sustained growth. Joining them as a Payroll Administrator, you will be able to deliver a high standard of client care.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
• Carrying out RTI submissions and submissions of pensions.
• Creating and posting journals to clients’ accounting software.
• Preparing year-end reports and distributing P60s.
• Managing the payroll inbox, responding to and resolving enquiries.

What do you need to have?

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice environment, processing end to end payroll and automatic enrolment pensions.
• Knowledge of payroll and pension legislation.
• Strong IT skills, including knowledge of accounting software such as Quickbooks, Quickfile and Xero. Experience of Brightpay software would also be highly advantageous.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, along with the ability to work to a high degree of accuracy and compliance

Other bits you need to know

Salary: up to £30,000 per annum (dependant on experience)

Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday
