Randstad is recruiting for a Payroll Administrator for North West Regional College for a 6 month contract.

Band 4 - £12.13 - £14.57 per hour - DOE
36 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
Canteen (Term Time)
Ongoing contract for min of 6 months

Have a level 5 qualification
Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll function
Excellent IT skills including MS Office - Excel is essential
Previous Education or Public Sector experience would be an advantage
GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English - C and above
Candidates will be subjected to enhanced vetting including an Enhanced access NI checkResponsibilities
Administer payroll via the in-house payroll system
Check that all documentation received is properly authorised
Undertake checks to ensure accuracy of documentation and input
Ensure all deductions are accrue and appropriately authorised
Process ad-hoc payments in a timely manner
Prepare monthly returns for DoE, HMRC etc
Ensure all documentation is recorded accurately and stored securely and in a confidential manner
Assist with audit preparation and ensure all adequate information is available
Maintain personal employee records, including master data, and in relation to sickness and absencesA more detailed description with a full list of duties is available on request
