The Role
The preferred Candidate needs to have solid payroll experience as well as experience with acquisitions for this Part-Time role.
The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will manage and prepare the monthly payroll for different departments within the company.
The Payroll and Benefits Specialist is responsible for the handling and processing of payroll queries or adjustments and benefit related enquiries, including a smooth amalgamation of any new starters onto the internal payroll system whilst ensuring a thorough and clear record of any payroll related changes including overtime, new starters, or pension changes.
The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will input and process all monthly payroll for employees.
The Payroll and Benefits Specialist is responsible for the calculation for prorated salaries new joiners, leavers, and any colleagues undergoing changes in their employment status, as well as considering any HMRC changes they may need to be carried out.
The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will review calculations of payroll provider of all elements of monthly payroll, such as SSP, SMP, GAYE, salary reductions, one-off payments, employee loans, and gross-to-net calculations.
The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will arrange any benefits including pensions, PMI, Life assurance, critical illness cover, and salary sacrifice schemes, ensuring accurate management of annual P11D submissions for benefits in kind.
The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will setup any healthcare coverage as well as maintain all records of staff members who have signed up for employment benefits.
The Payroll and Benefits Specialist is to find and implement any improvements to enhance Payroll and Benefits administration procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will liaise with internal and external members to resolve any payroll or benefit queries in a professional and timely manner.
The Candidate
Will be required to work 25 hours a week
CIPP Qualified (desirable but not essential).
Experience as a Payroll and Benefits Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of payroll processing and employee benefits administration.
Efficient with Payroll Software and HRIS systems
Strong numerate and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Advance skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
