Job description
We are looking to recruit a permanent full time (37.50 hours Mon to Fri) Payroll Assistant for our busy payroll services department.
This role does not require specific payroll knowledge or experience but it would be an advantage as it is a support position.
Full training will be provided but good IT and keyboard skills along with the ability to work to deadlines with an attention to detail are essential.
1. To ensure that all monthly time sheets are entered into ESR in an accurate and timely manner.
2. To follow agreed procedures and time scales monthly payroll processing.
3. To provide the administrator support for the Trusts on-line expenses system, this will include email support and system access and entry’s as necessary.
4. To ensure that at all times, Trust, AFC, Statutory and Pension Regulations are adhered to in relation to the work processed by the post holder.
5. To deal efficiently with written and verbal queries from employees, managers and outside bodies.
6. To provide earnings summaries for mortgage companies, councils, courts etc as required.
7. To ensure all documentation is filed in an accurate and timely manner for the team.
8. To answer simple payroll & pension queries.
9. To provide cover during absence of other pay clerks at the discretion of the Payroll Team manager.
10. To print, log & process positive returns for a specified Trust
11. Printing & logging of forms from the Trust RAVT system.
12. Processing of various temporary amendments to individuals pay records.
13. Processing of selected permanent amendments to individuals pay records.
14. Checking claim forms against Authorised signatory data base.
15. To open, date stamp and log incoming mail according to agreed procedures
16. To process any new starters, leavers and claims for all volunteers.
