Job description

Our client are a reputable professional services business operating in the City, looking for a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator to join them on a part time basis working 15 HOURS PER WEEK.

They are flexible on how the hours are split across the week, but will require someone to work in the office.

The firm have over 150 employees and require someone with a minimum of 2 years payroll experience, who has worked within a company of this size or above, with strong excel and numeric skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overall responsibility for accurate and timely monthly payroll preparation, liaising with their external payroll company
  • Acting as super-user for their payroll system (Elink)
  • Pulling reports and accurate record-keeping for their audit each year
  • Making additional pay runs when needed
  • Ensuring new starters can access payslips
  • Managing the administration of all benefits including pension, life insurance, private medical insurance, permanent health insurance, season ticket loans, cycle to work scheme, eye test and flu vouchers
  • Accurate invoice processing for benefits
  • Handling staff queries in relation to benefits
  • Pension calculations to ensure payroll deductions meet requirements
  • Monthly checks on pensions before payroll is completed
  • Pension payment upload to provider in time to meet the monthly deadline
  • Annual pension check to confirm certification is met
  • Issuing letters to staff when pension changes occur
  • Helping staff understand their pension calculations
