Payroll Lead

We are proud to be partnering with a great national organisation that supports people experiencing mental health problems. They are looking for a Payroll Lead to support with the monthly payroll process over the next 3 months. Fully remote.

This is a part time post and contract hours are 28 hours a month, to be worked:February 2024 - Working dates 21st, 22nd, 23rd & 26thMarch 2024 - Working dates 21st, 22nd, 25th & 26thApril 2024 - Working dates 19th, 22nd, 23rd, 24thWorking hours are 9am to 5.30pm.

Working in Sage Payroll you will be responsible for completing the monthly payroll process, including payments and payments HMRC. You will complete monthly pension contribution submissions, calculate accurate gross and net monthly salary payments for review and sign off, complete Payroll balance sheet journals on Sage and monthly BACS salary payments. You will also respond to routine payroll enquiries and be the main point of contact for the Pension Provider. You will perform any other relevant duties as required.

This role requires detailed knowledge of payroll systems (Sage Payroll), taxation, national insurance and pension administration. The successful candidate will be a confident, proactive and autonomous individual with comprehensive understanding of information governance, data protection, and risk management. They will have the ability to accurately process a variety of calculations, prioritise and coordinate tasks, and work collaboratively with the wider team. They will be a proficient user of Microsoft technologies at an advanced level (particularly MS Excel).
