Konnect are currently recruiting on behalf of a building Contractor in the Sussex region, looking to add a Payroll Manager to their diverse team. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our diverse workforce.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Timekeeping Systems: Oversee the time and attendance systems, collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate recording of hours worked.
Compliance: Stay abreast of payroll regulations, implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance and mitigate risks.
Record Keeping: Maintain organised and up-to-date payroll records, including tax filings, deductions, and other relevant documentation.
Benefits Administration: Collaborate with HR to manage employee benefits, ensuring accurate deductions and contributions.
Reporting: Generate regular reports for management, providing insights into payroll costs, trends, and other relevant metrics.
Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Payroll Manager, preferably in the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and best practices.
Strong understanding of timekeeping systems and payroll software.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Effective communication skills to interact with employees and other departments
