Role Description: As a Payroll Officer contracted through our agency, you will play a vital role in delivering efficient and accurate payroll services to our client. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Updating and maintaining the eHR/payroll database to reflect changes in salary and other payroll-related data, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  2. Processing statutory notifications and payments, voluntary deductions, and occupational entitlements with precision and accuracy.
  3. Communicating professionally with internal staff and external bodies to resolve queries and provide clear explanations regarding payroll matters.
  4. Maintaining clear audit trails and adhering to agreed service standards.
  5. Applying internal control procedures to ensure the integrity of payroll data and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
  6. Adhering to TUPE scheme rules and other relevant legislation, including manual calculations when necessary.
  7. Participating in HR testing routines and contributing to system improvement changes.
  8. Handling requests for non-standard payments, generating necessary documentation such as P45s and supporting year-end routines.
  9. Collaborating with the People Insight Analyst to generate accurate reports and provide data analysis.
  10. Contributing to the promotion and utilization of our client's benefits package.
  11. Assisting with monthly reconciliation routines and payment requests to the Finance department for third-party payments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • CIPP national payroll certificate or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Previous experience in a financial environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
  • Ability to work methodically and effectively within established timelines.
