Payroll Officer - An Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ school based in Kensington is offering a 6 month contract role with the potential to go permanent,  for a Payroll Officer position to help ensure the smooth and timely processing of payroll and to provide full HR support in a confidential manner.
Payroll Officer summary:

• Payroll Officer salary: (depending on experience)
• To process contract variations through ITrent, ensuring the correct authorisations are in place, accurate entering of information and issuing of relevant paperwork to employees, updating databases and records for audit and compliance purposes. Work closely with the HR Officers and Head of HR to ensure a high quality, professional, friendly, and efficient HR service is delivered in line with the needs of the school.
• In liaison with finance, to ensure correct details are processed on payroll for all staff and that new staff are added.
• The Payroll Officer will provide the highest levels of support and information to the Principal (or appropriate parties) throughout the recruitment process including specific information on advertising and recruitment timescales.
• To be responsible for the recording of monthly absence e.g., sick leave, maternity, and special leave, paid and unpaid by payroll deadline dates.
• As Payroll Officer you will liaise with Health and Safety champion to ensure all risk assessments are completed.

Payroll Officer requirements:

• A 2:1 degree or above.
• Experience of working in a busy HR/Payroll position. School experience is a bonus.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications
• Self-starter and proactive
• Willingness to work under pressure and meet quick time deadlines.
• DBS checks
