Payroll Specialist

Working within the Payroll team, you will report into the Payroll Manager and will work be responsible for processing the payroll on a monthly cycle across the UK and Ireland. 


You will


 

·    Work with our managed payroll vendor to process the monthly payroll for 3,000 + employees across UK and Ireland


·    Take ownership of key processes e.g.,Family Leave/Sickness/Commission


·    Conduct regular payroll checks and follow assigned checklists within the month. 


·    Prepare post monthly payroll reporting and payroll journals, ensuring accuracy and adherence to audit requirements.


·    Support HR and Accounting teams with queries


·    Managing employee queries and emails through a central solution with a strong Customer mindset


·    Perform regular reconciliations of payroll accounts 


·    Ensure calculations are applied accurately by the payroll vendor by checking calculations.


·    Work and support on process improvements and collaborate with the wider HR team such as Reward, HR Cost Control etc. 


You have


    End to end payroll processing experience

    Experience of UK and Irish payrolls 

    The ability to deal with payroll queries efficiently with a strong customer mindset

    Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation 

    Ability to manually calculate a payslip

    Excellent attention to detail 

    Advanced Microsoft Excel abilities 

    Excellent communication skills 

    Excellent problem-solving skills 

    Strong team player 

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
