Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a successful and growing business in the Chesterfield area as they look to recruit an experienced Payroll Supervisor into their team on a full time permanent basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the payroll teams and managing workloads
- Familiarisation of new software and processes and training the team
- Processing the payroll from start to finish within specific timeframes
- Importing and exporting payroll data and production and development of new payroll reports
- Obtaining relevant approvals
- Resolving payroll related queries
- Endorsing legislative compliance
- Reviewing and reconciling payroll outputs to ensure accuracy
- Working with key stakeholders to review payrolls and maintain high standards of communication
- Other tasks arising from the payroll transformation
Person Specification:
- Minimum 5 years payroll experience and understanding of payroll systems, experience in Sage an advantage but not essential
- Supervisory experience at a senior level with a can-do attitude
- Proficiency in using software and Excel / MS Office applications
- Adaptable, flexible, open to and accepting of change affecting you and your area of work and deal with that change efficiently and professionally
- Excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to multi-task
- Ability to carry out duties with integrity and in a confidential manner
- Currently working on a payroll with a minimum headcount of 1500 people
- The ideal candidate will have been involved in a payroll software change
