We are excited to be working with an established, progressive, and multifunctional business based in Warwick. This company are experts in their field and pride themselves on a providing bespoke services to their existing and rapidly growing client base. We are supporting with their search for a driven and confident Payroll Senior to join their supportive, fast paced finance team. This role will give you the opportunity to expand your knowledge, build lasting relationships and support with future business growth. You'll be at the forefront of payroll delivery and relationship management for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Registering clients for PAYE with HMRC and handling the production of P45's.
  • Investigating anomalies and ensuring accuracy by checking client balances with the HMRC portal.
  • Tailoring payroll setups for new clients according to their unique requirements.
  • Processing various payrolls (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) including bonus, commission, pensions, SMP, SSP, and share option schemes.
  • Managing pension contributions, processing benefits, and advising on/processing PSA's.
  • Supporting with year-end processes and producing essential documents such as P60's.
  • Building strong relationships with clients and their employees, ensuring exceptional client service at all times.
  • Taking ownership of your client portfolio and ensuring all payrolls are completed and approved in line with agreed timelines.
  • Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and sharing technical knowledge within the team and business.

About you:

  • Ability to build sustainable working relationships and confidently communicate with both clients and colleagues across departments.
  • Flexible and open to change with a common-sense pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Proactive in improving processes and working practices.
  • Ability to work within a team while being self-motivated and able to work on your initiative.
  • Accurate with a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Previous Experience:

  • Previous experience processing end to end payroll is essential.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, HMRC and pension portals.
  • Understanding of Workplace Pension requirements and the ability to calculate contributions.
  • Understanding of salary sacrifice rules and Benefit in Kind rules.
  • Familiarity with PAYE Settlement Agreements (PSA) and ability to manually calculate payroll.
  • Previous experience in a payroll bureau and handling employees in different countries is desirable.
