The PE and Sport Assistant will be part of an enthusiastic and dedicated PE and Sport team who teach talented and motivated students in the Junior School. They will assist the PE department for the delivery of an exciting and challenging PE and Sport curriculum that celebrates inclusion and diversity and enables all students to reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- To assist the PE and Sport staff as directed in timetabled PE lessons
- To assist with sports coaching and umpiring fixtures after school and occasionally at weekends
- To assist with lunchtime and after school extra-curricular activities
- To assist in the organisation of all major sporting events
- To have responsibility for a team at home or away matches
- To assist with other general requirements of the department as directed by the Head of PE and Sport
- To support teaching staff with administrative tasks
- To prepare progress and monitoring registers and results sheets
- As part of the PE and Sport department ensure equipment is maintained for lessons and available for home and away fixtures
