Pensions Assistant

Closing Date: 23.59 hours GMT on Wednesday 14 February 2024 An exciting opportunity for a Pensions Assistant to join the University of Surrey, within our Payroll & Pensions team.         This role supports the day-to-day delivery of a Pensions Administration service, responsible for providing a comprehensive service to new starters, current members and leavers of University Pension Schemes.   This is a part-time role and we would be highly receptive to applicants seeking flexible hours or a reduced work week, and will be willing to discuss potential options during the application and interview process. Role & Responsibilities Primarily reporting to and supporting the Pensions Specialist, you’ll act as a key contact within the relevant pension schemes, working collaboratively to ensure policies are adhered to and processes are followed in line with our statutory obligations. You’ll also be providing routine administration support for our Reward Specialist.     Other key responsibilities include: Handle the day-to-day administrative tasks related to the University’s multiple pension schemes Assist with the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date pension records for all scheme members, including change of hours, retirement quotes and retirement processing, ill health, deaths, transfer in, transfer out, leavers, change of address and illustrative quotes Assist with settlement cases New starter support including provision of scheme information and processing of opt outs. Support our Reward Specialist with global mobility processes, including invoicing Supporting with any cyclical reward and pension related activity. What’s in it for you?
