Yet none of this would be possible without the dedication of everyone here. As a People and Development Adviser, you’ll help design and deliver best in class people initiatives.


As a People and Development Adviser, you’ll be part of the team that’s advising, guiding and coaching managers right across the business. As we continue to grow, you'll support managers and people leaders to motivate and develop high performing teams, work alongside them on people initiatives and, where possible, you’ll look to improve our policies and procedures.   In everything you do, we’ll also expect you to ensure NPL’s interactions with its employees are fair, in line with agreed processes and legally compliant, across all interactions in order to mitigate risks.

No two days will be the same from supporting annual people programmes to managing employee relations (ER) situations, ultimately, you’ll support the kind of positive employee experience that retains the best.

We are now working in a hybrid way, with a mix of remote and office working. Previous proven experience in a similar role and a can-do attitude are a must, and if you’re used to working in a fast-paced environment, adopting an objective and customer-focused approach we want to hear from you.
A professional qualification is a must for this role - CIPD level 3 as a minimum. You'll also be able to demonstrate strong ER experience and previous experience with supporting managers with a complex range of ER cases. Great communications skills are a given, as is the ability to listen, plan and deliver. Beyond that, we’re looking for someone who’ll thrive in an environment like ours. Desirable skills for this role also include:
- Being comfortable managing a diverse portfolio of work at one time and managing competing priorities 
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with and advise managers and stakeholders at all levels of the business
- Confidence with IT and data management software (i.e HR Information systems and MS Office suite software)
