People Advisor
Salary negotiable depending on experience, up to £35,000 + Excellent Company Benefits & Company Car Scheme
Home based remote role, commutable to our sites across South Midlands and the South as required

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our talented People Team, supporting our retail centres in the UK. We are welcoming applications from experienced HR candidates with strong ER case experience, who want to thrive in an inclusive environment and release their full potential.  


This role will predominately provide employee relations guidance for our sites across the south of the UK. As ad hoc travel may be required where necessary, it is preferable that prospective candidates are located within this area.

What you’ll do day to day;

  • Manage employee relations cases effectively ensuring a consistent approach is applied across the business
  • Coach and support line managers to enable effective employee relations resolutions and people management capability 
  • Support conflict resolution via Mediation
  • Participate in HR and business projects, to support business priorities, including assisting with the development and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Support development and delivery of HR/Employee Relations workshops/courses, either standard or bespoke to business need  
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with HRBPs, providing updates on cases, and advising of potential issues arising
  • Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of relevant employment law in order to carry out the role effectively
  • Identify areas where policy / process reviews are required and own the improvement and changes required, ensuring all elements of the ER landscape are kept valid and up to date
  • Ensure case work systems and records are always kept up to date, detailing key facts of case and decision making

Helpful Skills & Qualifications;

  • Experience of working within a HR function with ER casework is essential
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to confidently interact with people of all levels, via multiple communication channels
  • A qualification in HR (CIPD or equivalent), or working towards, would be advantageous
  • Have the ability to think of the bigger picture in terms of solutions and to understand the business impact and risks of alternative solutions   
  • Knowledge of employment law and understanding that this should be kept up to date at all times
  • Ability to build strong trusted relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to manage own diary/SLAs and ensure prioritisation in line with the business needs where necessary
  • An ability to work under pressure, work to high volumes and be resilient and to remain mature and professional at all times
  • Full driving licence
