The opportunity

Our People Advisory ServicesManaged Services team are looking for a Change Lead to support the Change Initiative Portfolio for 2024 within our Belfast office.  This is a maternity cover role and will be for approx. 12 months.  The Change Lead is responsible for preparing, supporting, and equipping the operational teams to adopt and use changes to business processes, systems and technology and understand how to implement & improve services both internally and externally.  They will report to the Managed Services Engagement Director. 

 

Key responsibilities of a Change Lead include, developing and implementing plans to manage change, leading, coordinating, and managing change management activities, coaching, and mentoring staff through the change process, monitoring and assessing the impact if change on staff and service and providing key updates to senior leadership weekly on progress within the CI Portfolio 

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Manage the Change Portfolio, prioritising Change initiatives to ensure alignment with the CI Plan strategic vision & providing CI status updates and contributing to strategic planning
  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities
  • Leverage a change management methodology, process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
  • Leading key change delivery activities such as planning & milestone tracking, requirements gathering, process engineering, process redesign, testing and operational readiness and RAID log management.  
  • Support the Service Delivery leadership team with solutions to provide key business improvements – from ideation to implementation.
  • Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders including client, technology staff, operational teams, senior leadership and external stakeholders.


Skills and attributes for success
We are looking for a Change Lead who has significant change delivery experience in a fast-paced environment such as a shared service centre, call centre, operational delivery centre or similar.  For this role, process engineering, solution definition and management of key stakeholders is critical.


To qualify for the role, you must have;
Commercial acumen and previous experience of leading change delivery in a fast-paced operational environment, often running Change Initiatives in parallel. 
Strong organisational and project management skills 
Strong management skills and the ability to facilitate and encourage collaboration amongst team members and motivate teams to maximise adoption of change.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and excellent active listening skills
Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
Strong stakeholder management skills 
Process Mapping experience (eg Visio) 
Good understanding of Technology & how to best utilise to support operational delivery.
Planning and Milestone tracking experience (Create actionable deliverables for the CIs) 
Financial and Business case development experience. 
Experience in completing Impact Assessment of change ie conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders.
Support training efforts- Provide input, document requirements, and support the design and delivery of training documentation. 
Identify and manage risk mitigation. 
Consult and coach operational teams, and coach managers and supervisors in new ways of working.
Coordinate efforts with other specialists ie technology developers, external parties, senior leadership team.
Evaluate and ensure user readiness and support operational documentation.
Manage internal and external stakeholders.
Track and report issues through status reporting.
Define and monitor change progress.
Support change management at the organizational level
Manage the change portfolio and be a key contact for the team.

  • Problem solving and root-cause identification skills.
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
