The opportunity

 

Our People Advisory Services managed services team are looking for a Compliance and Commercial Analyst to join our Belfast Office.  The Compliance and Commercial Analyst will support supplier Compliance and Commercial activities, working closely with EY account Managers and Delivery Leads. They will report to the Compliance and Commercial Manager whilst also supporting the wider Commercial, Service Quality and Risk team to execute the supplier and community management activities.

They will be part of the Commercial, Service Quality and Risk Team comprising the functional areas below:

 

  1. Supplier Management – Suppliers are onboarded and managed by the Supplier Management team which also matches suppliers to requirements. The team manage the supplier relationships focusing on supplier performance, value add and continuous improvement,
  2. Service Quality and Risk management - ensures compliance of delivery with the service quality and risk management framework to drive service quality and ensure effective risk management. It also leads on complaints, escalations and incident investigation and reporting.
  3. Commercial Management - Commercial support on pricing, contracting and contract management is provided by the commercial management capability as a centre of excellence to the rest of the Client Services Team (CST) and to capabilities outside of the CST both during the sales process and during delivery
  4. Contract review – to ensure that all contracts are of high quality and compliant with EY’s obligations and supporting the Contract Manager with responding to queries around contractual matters

 

 

You will also have the opportunity to shape and continuously improve our approach to supplier Compliance and Commercial management. 

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Administers and supports the contractual relationship with our Supply partners
  • Conducting reviews of contracts to ensure (i) compliance with governing contracts, client requirements and EY processes, (ii) risk is removed, (iii) accuracy and clarity
  • Tracks and reports on supplier Compliance and assurance testing
  • Supports in the administration of the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities, for example by scheduling, preparing and scheduling Supplier review forums, Supplier events and training sessions
  •  Supports with MI & Reporting and the administration for Contract Management and SRM Dashboard which captures supplier and business performance measures
  • Responsible for the drafting and checking accuracy of key internal and client facing MI reports
  • Supporting internal teams with solutions relating to contracting and compliance
  • Supports execution of community engagement strategy, including communications, group meetings and events in conjunction with Managers in the team.
  • Liaising with the EY legal, quality and risk management, independence, data protection and cyber security and IT assurance teams on contracting, Compliance and risk-related matters where necessary

 

 

Skills and attributes for success
We are looking for  organised and diligent individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and who excel at client and supplier relationships and can evidence this in their experience to date.  Given this is a growing team, we are looking for individuals with a continuous improvement mindset who can contribute to the evolution and ongoing improvement of the way we deliver services for our clients.

 

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Strong interpersonal skills including evidence of stakeholder reporting and management
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high quality delivery with supporting evidence/examples in career to date
  • A high level of organisation
  • Ability to, and experience in, building excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including when to escalate issues when appropriate
  • Ability to work independently, manage own time and prioritise workload
  • A business-related higher level degree OR 12 months+ experience in an office-based environment or similar role

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience of preparing/drafting internal stakeholder MI reporting to an excellent standard and high level of accuracy
  • Supplier Management or Account Management administrative experience
  • Procurement experience
  • An understanding and awareness of Risk Management and Compliance
  • An understanding of the market for suppliers who provide services in support of HR services such as learning, education and workforce analytics
  • An understanding of both Public and Private sector clients and experience of working with them
  • The ability to integrate with new teams quickly and build effective relationships at all levels
  • Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and consult appropriately within the firm, including internal reporting and when to escalate to management as appropriate.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and pragmatically
