Job title: People & Culture Advisor

Based at: Aintree Racecourse

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We have a fantastic opportunity for a People & Culture Advisor to join our People & Culture team based at Aintree Racecourse enabling and supporting the operational delivery of brilliant People Business Partnering across The Jockey Club Group.

The People & Culture Advisorwill

¨     Provide a consistent people advisory service across the Jockey Club Group in conjunction with the People Services team and the People & Culture Business Partners.  

¨     Be the first point of contact for all new and existing ER cases working in partnership with the management teams to bring each case to a suitable conclusion.

¨     Coach and guide our people managers on ER matters including, but not limited to, performance, absence, disciplinary, grievance and flexible working. This includes case management through to conclusion.

¨     Own the case management dashboard and statistics, identifying trends and working with the wider team to identify appropriate solutions.

¨     Proactively build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across the Group by providing credible and quality people advice.  

¨     Work closely with the People & Culture Co-ordinators to build on and improve self-service and first line advice through our Service Desk system.

¨     Support the continuous improvement of our people services, policies, and processes across the full colleague life cycle.

¨     Work with the Business Partners to provide appropriate training to upskill line managers and colleagues.

 

About you

¨     Exceptional communicator with the ability to relay complex data, simply and concisely in both written and verbal formats.

¨     Highly skilled and experienced in working with complex ER cases with up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.

¨     Commercially savvy with ability to successfully demonstrate evidence of business knowledge.

¨     Thrives in influencing, engaging, and coaching a wide range of stakeholders demonstrating great interpersonal awareness.

¨     Super organised with outstanding attention to detail and ability to manage own time and resources to deliver results.

¨     Outstanding relationship builder with a customer centric mindset both internally and externally.
