Job description

As a People and Culture Co-ordinator you will play a critical role in supporting the overall People & Culture function within an organisation. This position is responsible for facilitating various human resources and employee engagement activities, as well as promoting a positive and inclusive work environment. The People and Culture Coordinator works closely with the HR team and management to ensure that employee needs are met and organisational culture is nurtured.

This is a Full time, Permenant position and you will be office based in Poole, Dorset.

Responsibilities:

  • HR Administration: Assist with the day-to-day administrative tasks related to human resources, including maintaining employee records, preparing HR documents, and managing HR databases.
  • Employee Engagement: Coordinate and organise employee engagement initiatives, such as team building activities, employee recognition programs, and social events, to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee morale.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding: Support the onboarding process for new employees, including conducting orientation sessions and co-ordinating necessary paperwork. Assist with offboarding activities, such as exit interviews and ensuring a smooth transition for departing employees.
  • Performance Management: Assist in the administration of performance management processes, including performance appraisals, goal setting, and development plans. Maintain accurate records and provide support in addressing performance-related issues.
  • Training and Development: Collaborate with the HR team to identify training needs and organise learning and development programs for employees. 
  • Recruitment: CV screening, Conducting interviews and Liaising with agencies 
  • Policy and Procedure Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant employment laws and regulations. Update and communicate policies to employees as necessary.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employees, providing guidance and support on HR-related inquiries and concerns. 
  • Data Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate HRIS Systems 
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Collaborate with the HR team to promote diversity and inclusion initiatives within the organisation. Participate in the development and implementation of programs and policies that foster an inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 CIPD Minimum
  • Previous experience in a human resources or employee engagement role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficient in using HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and other HR software.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
