The role: 

Whether you are comparing petrol prices, checking hotel ratings for your next holiday or trying to decide which film to watch, you cannot escape data. Over the last few years, the world has changed, and data is now everywhere!  

It's what we base most of our decisions on and this is why we need a keen, data savvy individual who is looking to jumpstart their career at Northumberland County Council. 

Are you ready to dive into the world of data?  

As part of the Children’s Services Performance team, you will support the collection, monitoring, analysis and presentation of our data. The data you produce will help improve the delivery of services to children within Northumberland. 

We would like you to have: 

• some experience of working within a busy team 

• a keen eye for accuracy 

• an analytical mindset, and be naturally curious and inquisitive 

• an aptitude for responding to queries in a friendly manner 

• some skills in making raw data come to life in a spreadsheet or software like Power BI or Tableau 

We take personal development very seriously, and the right candidate will have the opportunity to join future cohorts of the council’s new data academy. The last two post-holders have benefited from similar opportunities and have secured promotions within the team.

This post is FULL TIME – 37 hours pw – hybrid working (currently two days in the office, three at home)
