Location: UK - 2 roles in the West Midlands or 1 role in the South. Contract Type: Contractor – 3 years initially This is a full time, 3-year (initially) appointment, within a military training unit. Overall purpose of post: To be part of a multidisciplinary Human Performance (HP) Team, supporting people to meet the high demands of working within a military unit. As part of the psychological team, you will be expected to deliver high quality presentations and give 1-1 support, all backed by the pertinent and contemporary research. You will also liaise and work with the clinical team to support the Mental Health strategy. You should have: A minimum of MSc in Psychology BPS chartered status or equivalent registration HCPC registered as a practitioner psychologist or equivalent registration. Full UK driver's licence. There will be a requirement to attend various sites from time to time, and a car will be essential for this. Experience and evidence, of having worked in performance domains e.g., sports, business, military, medical or blue-light services. Experience providing 1-1 support and counselling to high performing individuals. Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team. Experience of delivering high quality presentations (seminars, workshops, lectures) to groups. The ability to conduct data management and analysis. Other professional qualifications and experience (e.g.., family therapy, addiction counselling, solution focussed therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, mindfulness CBTi etc) You will be: Working under the Psychology Manager, and with the rest of the psychological team within a unit, to deliver the psychology element of the Human Performance (HP) programme. Responsible for ensuring that the unit is embracing the latest advancements in psychological science. Conducting group presentations and 1-1 sessions. Liaising and working with the clinical team, to deliver some of the upstream prevention. Where applicable, you will be signposting people to the clinical CPN’s for further support. Gathering and managing of data to support the delivery of the HP programme. Working with the unit to help create a psychologically safe space environment. Working alongside the other elements of the HP Team to ensure a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. Start Date: as soon as possible.
