Role Description:
Our client is looking for a contractor to join a customer side test team with responsibility for developing and maintaining tooling to support Performance Testing of a complex message-based system. Tooling is based on a JMeter platform for generating load, supported by a bespoke Java application used to capture responses and provide timing data. Experience with JMeter is essential. In addition, there is an extensive library of Python and shell scripts used to automate the test process and assist in the collation and analysis of test results. The team also maintains Prometheus agents and Grafana dashboards used to report on performance of the system under test.
We are looking for candidates that are always looking for creative and innovative ways to automate and improve manual processes using any tools at their disposal, in order to accelerate both repetitive tasks and complex analysis jobs. Candidates should be familiar with Java and/or Python and have some knowledge of Performance Testing and reporting, including basic performance diagnosis and root cause analysis. Familiarity with running Ansible playbooks is desirable along with at minimum a basic understanding of Grafana.
