Job Title: Performance Test Engineer
Location: London, remote working
Duration: 10 months
Pay: £350 - £388 per day inside IR35
Clearance: SC (Must be a UK National with a minimum of 5 years residency)

Are you a skilled and motivated individual with a passion for Performance Testing and automation? We are currently seeking a talented Performance Test Engineer to join our dynamic client-side test team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining tooling to support the Performance Testing of a sophisticated message-based system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain tooling based on the JMeter platform for load generation.
• Utilise a bespoke Java application to capture responses and provide timing data.
• Leverage an extensive library of Python and shell scripts for test process automation and results analysis.
• Maintain Prometheus agents and Grafana dashboards for performance reporting.
• Collaborate with the team to identify creative and innovative ways to automate and enhance manual processes.
• Accelerate repetitive tasks and complex analysis jobs through efficient automation.

Requirements:

• Experience with JMeter for Performance Testing is essential.
• Proficient in Java and/or Python.
• Knowledge of Performance Testing and reporting, including basic performance diagnosis and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with running Ansible playbooks is desirable.
• Basic understanding of Grafana.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong scripting skills (Shell scripting, Python).
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
