Job description
We are looking for an experienced and efficient individual with excellent organisational skills who can provide high quality support to the Trust Chair and Chief Executive. The successful candidate would also manage the Board Support Unit team, who provide support to other Board members.
Candidates must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking with excellent communication skills.
The post holder is responsible for managing the work of the Chair and Chief Executive and will also manage the Board Support Unit.
The Personal Assistant (PA) will provide high quality secretarial and administration support to the Chair and Chief Executive establishing effective communication processes and act as a liaison between the Chair and Chief Executive and other parties, internal and external to the organisation. This will include co-ordination and production of materials in a professional, effective and confidential manner, planning, arranging and co-ordinating the Chair and Chief Executive diaries, including travel and accommodation arrangements and production, development and distribution of Board and Committee papers.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the post holder will be highly skilled in taking quality minutes and collating meeting papers and be will able to evidence team working with other administrative staff and colleagues. Having good attention to detail and working to deadlines it critical in this role. In addition, the successful applicant should have a proactive approach to diary management and be able to solve problems when complex issues arise.
Applicants will have a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role, providing support to Senior colleagues, and must be educated to degree level or have equivalent knowledge, training or experience.
