I am looking for personal care for a Man
Drivers licence required: Yes
Own vehicle needed: Yes
Hours per week: 7 hours (over 2 shifts to be discussed)
Hourly pay rate: £11.66, mileage paid when out on errands
I am a 32 year old male. I have Cerebral Palsy and use a wheelchair. I live and work in Hastings and require a carer to assist me with everyday duties i.e. personal care, toileting, washing, dressing and administering medicine. I am sociable and would like someone who is organised, discreet and reliable with a good sense of humour.
There will also be administrative duties i.e. emails, photocopying, some phone calls and taking me to appointments. I'd also require some other light duties i.e housework/shopping and food preparation. You must have a clean UK driving licence and I may require you to drive my vehicle. I have 2 shifts available, covering 7 hours per week. The rota can be discussed at interview. I would prefer a Sunday shift out of these (this can be negotiated to once a fortnight) and one evening shift.

Medication prompting/administering
Personal grooming
Eating and drinking assistance
Moving and handling
Clinical tasks
Other relevant duties as required
Administration

Bathroom assistance
Candidate qualities:
Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
Reliable with good timekeeping
Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
Hygienic, tidy and well organised
Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
Honest and cheerful
Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
I live in the family home, with family members and friends coming to the house. So, someone who is discreet and respectful.
A DBS is required.
