The main duties of this post will be to provide support for a young woman with moderate learning difficulties on Thursday mornings.The successful candidate will provide companionship and support with activities such as swimming, dog walking , shopping trips and cooking.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for a young woman with moderate learning difficulties with domestic and social tasks
- Provide companionship and support both at home and on trips out.
- Providing assistance with preparation of daily meals, vacuuming, tidying etc.
- Support with accompanying to social events, assistance to visit friends
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skill
- Well developed social skills / ability to relate well to others
- Ability/willingness to respect confidentiality and privacy
- Ability to work flexibly
- Ability to work on own initiative
Desirable Skills
- Desire to help develop clients skills
- Liking for animals
- Interest in social activities
- Experience in a similar role (either through work or personal experience)
- Clean driving license and own car

Thursday mornings 4 hours
Extra hoursavailable at mutualconvenience
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £14.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 4 per week
