Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and patient Personal Assistant (PA) to provide support to an artistic teenage girl with a diagnosis of autism, Gastrostomy, and a wheelchair user. This position is an opportunity to make a positive impact in her life by engaging in various activities, ensuring her comfort, and assisting with Personal Care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Companionship: Engage with her through interactive activities, play games, and spend quality time together.
2. Reading: Assist her in reading and explore her interests in literature.
3. Outdoor Activities: Accompany her for outdoor walks when the weather is suitable.
4. Personal Care: Provide support with Personal Care needs in a respectful and dignified manner.
5. Flexibility: Be flexible with your schedule to accommodate her needs, as the family will provide further details regarding specific timings.
Requirements:
• Excellent English-speaking skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a caring nature.
• Experience or willingness to work with individuals with autism.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to follow guidelines and instructions provided by the family.
Additional Information:
• Training and guidance will be provided by the employer/family.
• This role is subject to a DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service)
